Wand Bomb Detector DOES NOT WORK!

Thank you @Azzi the information.

So, you are waiting your turn at ABC, and the guy passes by with a radio antenna and nods with his head that your car is clear and you can go and park.

Your car is clear of any explosive material. Well it turns out that you can have a bloody nuke in the car and they wouldn’t even know.

Re: Alfa Telecom (managed by Orascom)

Ok, I am gonna flatter my ego and say that my post and rage (with foul language) helped pressuring Alfa Telecom to withdraw their new BB policy (200MB, every extra MB MIGHT be charged an extra 1$)

To everyone’s surprise, Alfa announced today that the Blackberry service is (back to) for 40USD with no additional charges (subject to F.U.P. 500MB).

Two theories here:

  1. They actually responded

Alfa Telecom (managed by Orascom)

First things first: Fuck you!

Now, when Alfa Telecom (managed by Orascom) released their Blackberry service, they offered an unlimited local data plan and a F.U.P. of 500MB. the whole service at 44USD including V.A.T. so far so good.

But to everyone’s surprise, today they announced that the data plan is unlimited at 200MB and every extra 1MB might be charged 1USD. what the fuck?

unlimited? at… Continue reading

Title says it all…comments are more than welcome (LBC International is a local/regional/international Lebanese TV)

Edit: here’s the new logo taken directly from LBC International TV.

I should get over this and move on, but for some reason it gets on my nerves even more seeing an “international” television station blatantly ripping off a logo. And… Continue reading

2012, a review (spoilers alert)

yes, reviewing a movie, I couldn’t believe all the commotion about 2012, saw the trailer, was jumping like a little kid at all the CGI.

I am a geek, I always enjoy good CGI and this is what 2012 is, good CGI, nothing more, nothing less. 158 minutes of good CGI.

The story, A guy finds out that doomsday is near and that some governments built archs to… Continue reading

Arabic content on the web…

In a recent interview on satellite tv covering the Media and Marketing Show Dubai 2009, someone was complaining about the lack of Arabic content on the internet.

The complaints are coming from Arabic search engines folks (and I don’t mean Google, I am talking about local SE)

Now, I’ve been hearing this song forever, same tune, same excuse, “the Arabic content on the internet is poor”. whining whining… Continue reading

Ajnad, far superior and more accurate than Yamli…errrmmm

In a comment about yamli.com I was told that Ajnad.com is far superior and more accurate than Yamli.com

I thought it would be cool to compare both side to side, here’s what I got (click to enlarge)

Ajnad

I hate to say this, but this is a MAJOR fail. In the transliteration domain, Yamli is still king!… Continue reading
