I had to take a forced break (hosting problems with Godaddy), decided it was not worth the hassle and went for Media Temple. I can’t say anything except it is the smoothest and easiest ride ever and ten times faster than oldDaddy.
Anyways, I went for a minimal theme, my coding skills aren’t top notch but it’s working, didn’t go for a “traditional” layout and who said a blog should look like a “blog”?
Lots happened lately, I had to quit my job after getting a decent offer, and it was at a perfect timing after a long struggle similar to Doug Bowman‘s except that he had the chance to design, I had my hands tied down in a “centralized one-person decides everything” system. Hours of research and work sitting in some folder and will never see the light.
Enough was enough and I was slowly dying and I took the jump! It was one of the most beautiful years; learned a lot; had the chance to work with the smartest persons; lots of possibilities and opportunities, and I sincerely hope that they will focus on UX; otherwise all these years of hard work will go to waste.
